Weekend Retreat at Barmoor, North Yorkshire

Friday 4 - Sunday 6 October 2013

Yoga Workshop: Yin and Yang, Pranayama, Meditation and Metta

date to be set

St Columba's Church Hall, Priory St, York

Yin yoga is the practice of unhurried, unambitious floor poses which rejuvenate and energise us, cultivating inner focus and quietude. Yang yoga is dynamic and flowing, bringing strength and stability, grace and balance, agility and alignment.

Pranayama charges up our inner batteries, increasing vitality. The practice of mindfulness meditation leads us to a deeper connection with ourselves and others. Metta is the practice of loving-kindness - fundamental to happiness.

This workshop will take you through the main components of a deep hatha yoga practice, with a focus on what you might practice at home on a daily basis.

Cost: £25. Please bring a small snack, your mat and blocks.

To book, please send a cheque for £25 to Sophie Carr, 24 Richardson St, York YO23 1JU, with your details. For more information, call 07811 950938 or email info@yogaco.co.uk
