Yoga is a path to health and happiness. With mindfulness as its cornerstone, yoga brings physical vitality, mental harmony and profound inner peace.
Hatha yoga has four main aspects: a positive approach to life, asana or physical postures, pranayama or breathwork, and meditation.
At yogaCo we hope to lead you to increased well being by combining these four aspects in our classes, workshops and retreats. If you are pregnant or have just had a baby, we have specialised classes adapted to meet your needs. If you are trying to conceive, we offer personalised practice plans based on the Yin Yoga method. We also teach private classes for those who prefer one-on-one sessions. Call or email for details.
Summer term dates: Sunday 14 April to Thursday 18 July (no classes in half term: 26 May - 1 June)
Pregnancy classes will continue throughout the summer.
Autumn term dates: Sunday 1 September to Thursday 19 December (no classes in October half term)

Thursday 5.45 - 7 pm Yoga Level 2 A calm, flowing class suitable for improvers or strong beginners, incorporating simple mindfulness meditation, dynamic posture work, a few gentle, long-held yin poses and deep relaxation. Each class £7, payable in half-termly blocks. Mats and yoga blocks are available to borrow.
Thursday 7.15 - 9 pm Yoga Level 3 An energetic flowing class with emphasis on strength, breath and developing inner quiet. Yin yoga, mindfulness meditation, strong posture work and relaxation. This class is suitable for those with experience of yoga. Each class £8, payable in half-termly blocks. Mats and yoga blocks are available to borrow. Yoga for Pregnancy
Wednesdays 6.30 - 8.15 pm, Thursdays 6.30 - 8.15 pm and Sundays 6-7.45pm at Jacob's Well, Trinity Lane, off Micklegate YO1 6EL; limited parking available. There is a short waiting list for these classes, so please phone 01904 733752 or 07811 950938 to book a place, or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Mum and Baby Yoga
Mondays 10 - 11.30am at St Columba's Church Hall, Priory Street, off Micklegate, York YO1 6EX. Active Baby Yoga. Each class £6 if paid half-termly in advance, £8 drop-in, includes tea and home made cake. You can join this class at any time, just turn up.
Tuesdays 10 - 11.45am at Jacob's Well, Trinity Lane, off Micklegate, York YO1 6EL. Post-natal Yoga (emphasis on post-natal recovery, bring your baby of course). Each class £7.50 payable half-termly in advance, booking essential, includes tea and home made cake.
